Signode has developed a wide range of steel strapping machines for use in hot mill rolling operations. In order to secure the hot rolled coils produced in the hot rolling mill Signode has designed machines which can be integrated into almost any customer steel or aluminum mill layout.
For the most effective hot strip coil securement Signodes model M410-CH3A circumferential strapping machine can be located very close to the re-coiler at the exit of the mill. The machine can easily handle the coil temperatures of up to 800 C. The coils once secured can be transported into the M410-EH-3A machine for radial or eye strapping of the hot steel or aluminium coils.
Where it is not possible to strap the coils close to the mill or the coils are down-ended and then transported vertically, with the coil eye-to-sky the M410-CVA horizontal model secures the coils circumferentially for onward internal plant storage and movement. |
