The vast range of wire strapping and wrapping applications for cold drawn and hot rolled wire is covered by a range of Signode steel and plastic strapping machines and wrapping equipment. The coils can be strapped in the wire compactor with laterally integrated M410- or KLW spot-weld strapping heads and for cold drawn wire also strapped radially with the AK200-HDX head for Tenax® PE strapping from 19- 32 mm. Then increasing use of PET strapping enables large wire bundles to be secured without damaging the wire surface which causes production issues during drawing at a later stage.
To protect the high value wire bundles during handling and storage for domestic and export customers. Signode also has a range of radial eye wrappers for small to large wire coils. These units apply a range of protective film media to the coils available via Signode for a one-stop packaging supply to the wire drawing industry. To further protect the coils in shipment Signode also offers a range of protective re-usable coil bags and special multi-use separator sheets for use between the coils in ships, truck and container shipments. To prevent any load movements in containers Signode can provide suitable anti-slip mats, airbags for dunnage and lashing materials for suitable load securement.
