Signode's Z-20 S-LP model is the classic scissor lumber press for lower throughput plants but is also used in many plants in the QA Dept for re-packing loads after random load testing.
The hydraulic lumber press is designed to run on both Tenax polyester strap and on Apex steel strapping. The strapping head modules are side-mounted on the upper and side compression bars and free-floating for optimum strap tension transmission around the package.
The unit can compress and strap loads with a min. height of only 450 mm. The AK 100 electrically powered strapping heads use 13-19 mm wide steel strapping. The Z-20 is equipped to use 16-19 mm Tenax high-performance Polyester strapping. Compression on the lumber can be adjusted and varied from up to a maximum of 2 to 8 tons compression onto the top and sides of the load respectively. |
